Every brand I look at on Amazon has the same shape of problem. The ad account gets weekly attention. The listing images get argued over. And the two pages that do the actual selling once the shopper arrives, the A+ Content block below the fold and the Brand Store, were built once in a rush and have not been touched since.
Both cost nothing to build. Both are measurable. Both compound on every pound of traffic you buy. Here is how to build them properly in 2026, what the real numbers are, and how to tell whether they worked.
What A+ Content Actually Does To Conversion
A+ Content is the module block that replaces the plain text product description. Amazon reports sales increases of up to 8 to 10 percent from standard A+ and up to 20 percent from Premium A+ on hero ASINs. In the accounts I have worked in, standard A+ lands around a 3 to 10 percent lift in unit session percentage and Premium sits at the top of that range on best sellers.
The lift is not evenly distributed. Considered purchases with a research phase, so beauty, supplements, wellness, home, get the biggest absolute gain because the shopper genuinely wants more information before committing. Commodity categories where the decision is made on price and delivery see a much smaller delta, because the buyer never scrolls that far.
That distinction matters for where you spend effort. If you sell a 6 GBP consumable against fifteen identical listings, A+ is hygiene. If you sell a 45 GBP supplement where the shopper is comparing ingredient panels, A+ is the sales conversation.
Premium A+ is free, and most brands have not switched it on
Premium A+ used to sit behind a spend threshold or an invitation. In 2026 it is available to brand-registered sellers at no cost, and it unlocks automatically once you publish an approved Brand Story module on at least one ASIN. You need a Professional selling account and a Brand Representative or Reseller role on a brand enrolled in Brand Registry. Publish Brand Story, wait for approval, and the Premium modules appear in A+ Content Manager.
Premium gives you full width imagery, interactive comparison tables, hover hotspots, Q and A modules and video. That last one is where brands hurt themselves, which I will come back to.
The Brand Store Is The Asset Nobody Finishes
The numbers on Brand Stores are the strongest in Amazon's own reporting and the most ignored by operators. Shoppers who visit a Store purchase 53.9 percent more frequently, add to cart 52.1 percent more often, buy at a 42.4 percent higher average selling price, and spend 71.3 percent more per order than shoppers who never see it. They are 62.7 percent more likely to be new-to-brand. Brands with an optimised Store see around 35 percent higher repeat purchase rates.
Link a Sponsored Brands campaign to the Store rather than a product grid and shoppers spend roughly twice as long with you, detail page views rise about 55 percent and sales rise about 15 percent.
A product detail page sells one product to someone who already chose you. A Brand Store sells the brand to someone still deciding. Most brands buy category traffic and land it on a page that assumes the decision is already made.
Where To Send Paid Traffic In 2026
The routing rule is simple and almost nobody applies it consistently. Cold and mid-funnel traffic goes to the Store. High-intent traffic goes to the detail page.
01
Broad category keywords go to the Store
Someone searching magnesium supplement or reusable water bottle is choosing a brand, not a SKU. Land them on a Store page that frames the range, the positioning and the entry product. You get a longer session, a bigger basket and a new-to-brand customer rather than a bounce.
02
Branded and long-tail keywords go to the detail page
Someone searching your brand name plus a flavour or size has decided. Every extra click between them and the buy box costs you conversion. Send them straight to the ASIN.
03
Seasonal and campaign traffic goes to a dedicated Store page
Build a sub-page per campaign rather than editing the homepage. Gifting, Q4, a new launch, a bundle offer. You keep the measurement clean in Store Insights and you can point external traffic, from email or creators, at a page built for that message.
The Four Mistakes That Waste The Lift
Using the video module because it exists. A phone-shot, badly lit product video in the Premium header performs worse than a clean, well-designed standard A+ header image. Video earns its place when it demonstrates something a photograph cannot, so a texture, a mechanism, a before and after. If it is just your product rotating, cut it.
Writing copy that gets rejected. The common 2026 rejection triggers are pricing or promotional language, shipping speed claims, warranty terms, competitor names, references to reviews or star ratings, contact details and external links. Write as if price, delivery and competitors do not exist on the page, because officially they do not.
Repeating the bullet points in prettier fonts. The shopper who scrolls to A+ has already read the bullets and is not convinced. That block exists to answer the objection the bullets could not: the ingredient they do not recognise, the sizing worry, the comparison with the cheaper option, the question of whether it works for someone like them. Pull those objections out of your reviews and your support inbox, not out of the brand deck.
Publishing without a baseline. If you did not record unit session percentage before you published, you cannot know whether the content moved anything. This is the one I got wrong for two years and it is the easiest to fix.
What This Looks Like In Practice
Treat it as a test, not a redesign. Pick your top five ASINs by session volume and hold five comparable ASINs back as a control. Record unit session percentage for both sets across a stable 28 day window, with no price changes, no coupons and no new ad campaigns running.
Publish Brand Story first to unlock Premium, then build the Premium modules on the five treated ASINs. Write each module against one real objection lifted from your reviews. Leave the control set alone. Hold everything else steady for 28 days, then compare. If unit session percentage moved on the treated set and stayed flat on the control, you have your answer and a template for the rest of the catalogue.
Run the Store on a separate track. Build a homepage, a page per product family and one campaign page, then measure in Store Insights on visitors, sales per visitor and repeat visit rate by page. Re-point your broad-keyword Sponsored Brands campaigns at the relevant Store page and watch the basket size, not the click-through rate.
Inside the system
How we build this for brands
The hard part of A+ Content is not design, it is knowing which four objections are actually costing you the sale. We run a voice-of-customer engine that mines reviews, Q and A threads and support messages across the listing and the wider category, then ranks the recurring objections by how often they appear and how close they sit to the buying decision. Those become the modules. The same output feeds the Meta and TikTok creative, so the story on Amazon and the story in the feed stop contradicting each other.
On the measurement side, a reporting agent pulls unit session percentage, Store Insights and ad spend into one weekly view, holds the control set alongside the treated ASINs, and flags when a listing change coincided with a real move rather than noise. Part of this runs live for portfolio brands today; the full system is what we deploy when we take a brand on.

Book Your Amazon AuditFrequently asked questions
Does Amazon A+ Content actually increase conversion rate?
Yes, though the size of the lift depends on your category. Amazon reports standard A+ Content driving sales increases of up to 8 to 10 percent, and Premium A+ Content up to 20 percent on hero ASINs. In practice, most brands see a 3 to 10 percent conversion lift from standard A+ and 15 to 20 percent from Premium on their best sellers. Considered-purchase categories such as beauty, supplements and home see the largest absolute lift. Commodity categories competing mainly on price see smaller deltas because the buying decision is made before the shopper scrolls.
How do I unlock Premium A+ Content on Amazon?
Premium A+ Content is free for brand-registered sellers in 2026 and unlocks automatically once you publish an approved Brand Story module on at least one ASIN in your Brand Registry account. You need a Professional selling account and a Brand Representative or Reseller role on a brand enrolled in Brand Registry. Once Brand Story is approved and live across your active catalogue, the Premium modules appear inside A+ Content Manager.
Should I send Amazon ad traffic to my Brand Store or my product detail page?
Send cold and mid-funnel traffic to the Brand Store and high-intent traffic to the product detail page. Someone searching a broad category term is still choosing a brand, so a Store page that frames the range converts better and raises basket size. Someone searching your brand name plus a specific product has already decided, so extra clicks cost you. Amazon's own data shows Sponsored Brands campaigns linked to a Store see shoppers spend roughly twice as long on site, with detail page views up 55 percent and sales up 15 percent.
How much more do Amazon Brand Store visitors spend?
Amazon reports that shoppers who visit a Brand Store purchase 53.9 percent more frequently, add to cart 52.1 percent more often, buy at a 42.4 percent higher average selling price, and spend 71.3 percent more per order than shoppers who never see the Store. Store visitors are also 62.7 percent more likely to be new-to-brand customers. Brands with an optimised Store see roughly 35 percent higher repeat purchase rates.
Why does Amazon keep rejecting my A+ Content?
The most common rejection reasons in 2026 are pricing or promotional language, shipping speed claims, warranty terms, competitor names, and references to customer reviews or ratings. Amazon also rejects contact details, external links, and unsupported health or efficacy claims. Write the copy as if the price, the delivery date and the competition do not exist, because on an A+ module they officially do not.
How do I measure whether A+ Content is working?
Treat it as a measurement problem, not a design project. Record the unit session percentage for each ASIN over a stable 28 day window before you publish, then hold traffic mix, price and promotions steady for 28 days after. Compare the same window against a control set of ASINs you did not touch. If unit session percentage moved on the treated ASINs and stayed flat on the control, the content did the work. Brand Store performance is measured separately in Store Insights, where you should track visitors, sales per visitor and repeat visit rate by page.
